It is quote-first — no online payment. Build a Gear List on this site, call or text us at (604) 255-1231, or email us your list and we will send a quote. We confirm availability, you sign a short agreement, and the gear is ready at pickup or delivered to set.
You must be 18 or older with a valid Canadian province-issued photo ID or passport, and a valid non-debit credit card. Larger packages can be covered by production insurance instead — see below.
We place a hold on your credit card for the replacement value of the gear. Once everything comes back checked-in and undamaged, the hold is released in full. With a certificate of insurance, we only hold the amount of your deductible.
We strongly encourage a policy that covers rented equipment for full replacement value, naming Lot2.Media Inc. as Certificate Holder or Loss Payee — and cinema camera packages do require insurance. We do not sell insurance ourselves.
Everything is priced by the day, and a full week (7 days) is billed at 3× the day rate — seven days for the price of three. Longer bookings are prorated by the week.

Rentals are pickup from our shop at 771 Vanalman Ave, Victoria. The exception is the Grip Truck package — that one we deliver to set, and transport for large builds elsewhere on Vancouver Island can be arranged.
Absolutely. We are working cinematographers and grip/electric crew — tell us the shoot, the budget and the look, and we will build the kit around it.
