When it’s the right call

Dims part of the frame WITHOUT softening it — like a dimmer that works on sunlight. Double net pulls roughly a full stop off whatever it covers: a hot window, a bright forehead, the near side of a walk-and-talk.

Where to set it up

Slide it between source and the too-bright area; feather the edge so the transition is invisible. Flies on a single C-stand arm right where you need it; sandbag the stand.

Get the most out of it

• Nets don't change light quality — properly feathered, they're undetectable
• Balance a face against a bright window without touching the window
• Keep the net's edge out of frame or softly feathered
